An educational overview

Lymph fluid normally moves through a network of vessels and nodes. When that system is disrupted — after surgery, radiation, infection, or because of other medical factors — fluid can collect in an arm, leg, or other area of the body.

Care plans vary. They may include education, skin care, compression garments, complete decongestive therapy, or, when prescribed, a pneumatic compression device for home use. Knight Crest does not diagnose lymphedema and does not replace specialty clinical care.

How Knight Crest may help

When a provider prescribes a pneumatic compression system, we help coordinate coverage review, documentation, delivery when applicable, and equipment support. Outcomes depend on the individual care plan and should be discussed with the prescribing clinician.
